I am a White, cis, 3rd generation settler woman, currently living in Port Moody, BC, the traditional and unceded territories of the Kwikwetlem First Nations.

I have worked in the field of mental health and addictions with youth, adults and families for the past eight years, with experience ranging over treatment, supportive housing, outreach, detox and counselling sites. In addition to private practice, I am currently the clinical counsellor on an Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) team. These professional experiences have given me knowledge in mental health and systemic difficulties, as well as skills in flexibly meeting the needs of each individual person I work with.

As a counsellor, I aim to create a warm, therapeutic environment to work collaboratively on what is personally meaningful to you. I take a holistic approach to counselling by including attention to mental, emotional, physical and spiritual domains.

Hello there! I’m Kelsey, Registered Clinical Counsellor.

The heart and soul of my work is connecting with clients at a genuine level, creating space to explore the unfolding of their experience and shape meaningful change.

Personally -

My passion for counselling work is fairly reflective of my inner psyche. I have a studious nature and strong drive to continue learning about healing, resilience, lived experiences, somatic (body-based) healing work, spirituality and social justice. These interests inform much of my approach to our work together in counselling.

In my spare time, you will find me: reading, hiking with my dog and partner in the Port Moody trails, releasing stress through running, yoga or rec centre classes, spending time with friends and family, and always trying to get a few good laughs in a week!
